Citrus County Arrest Update: August 11–20, 2026
CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. — The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office has released its latest arrest-and-charge report covering August 11 through August 20, 2026. The 28-page report includes arrests ranging from misdemeanor offenses and probation violations to drug charges, domestic violence allegations and serious felony cases.
Important reminder
An arrest is not a conviction. Everyone named in the Sheriff’s Office report is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court. Charges listed below are allegations reported by law enforcement and may later be amended, reduced or dismissed.
Recent arrests of note
Among the August 20 entries, David Allen Resch was listed on charges of possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and driving while license suspended or revoked for a third or subsequent offense. The listed bonds for those charges totaled $6,000.
Mark Wayne Bridges was arrested August 20 on a felony domestic-battery-by-strangulation charge involving an allegation of minor injury. The report lists no bond. Travis Paul Tuten was listed on DUI and refusal-to-submit-to-testing charges, with bonds of $1,000 and $500 respectively.
The report also records the August 20 misdemeanor battery arrest of Troy Edward Taylor, with a $1,000 bond.
On August 19, Ashley Marie Sloan was arrested on a felony petit-theft charge based on two or more prior theft convictions, with bond listed at $2,500. Tanner Gordon Hall and Joshua Twomey were separately listed on domestic-battery charges.
Also on August 19, Elexus Taylor Messick was listed on felony charges involving interference with child custody and violation of an injunction for protection against domestic violence. The report lists $2,500 bond on the custody charge and no bond on the injunction charge.
Other serious felony allegations
The reporting period contains several particularly serious allegations.
On August 15, Dewayne Lee Matthewson was listed on Citrus County warrants involving burglary of an unoccupied structure, grand theft of between $20,000 and $100,000, dealing in stolen property through the internet, and removing, disfiguring or destroying a tomb or monument. A $70,000 bond is listed on the tomb-or-monument charge.
On August 12, Roderick Filepe Ray Garrett was arrested on charges listed as sexual battery involving a familial/custodial relationship with a person under 18 and lewd and lascivious battery involving a person age 12–16. The Sheriff’s Office report lists no bond for those charges.
The August 11 records include Cristina Louise Hicks, who was listed on multiple felony charges including battery on a law-enforcement officer/firefighter/EMS provider or other covered employee, unlawful possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted felon, introduction of drug contraband into a county detention facility, drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence.
DUI, drugs, theft and warrants
The ten-day report also reflects the kinds of cases deputies routinely encounter.
Rachel Christine Gerlach was arrested August 16 on a DUI charge with a $1,000 bond. Timothy Tyler Corcoran was arrested August 18 on a DUI charge with a $5,000 bond. Melinda Jo Drew was listed on an August 19 DUI charge with a $1,000 bond.
Drug-related arrests included allegations of controlled-substance possession, drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to sell or deliver. The report also contains numerous arrests and warrants involving failure to appear, violation of probation, theft, domestic battery and suspended or revoked driver’s licenses.
